Food in school
Our school meals are cooked on the premises and cost £2.30 per day, or children may bring their own packed lunch. Packed lunches should be healthy and nutritionally balanced. They must not contain fizzy drinks or sweets and chocolate.
Free school meals
All children in the Reception and Key Stage One are eligible to a free school meal. Older children may also qualify for free school meals if their families are in receipt of certain benefits. If you think you may be eligible for Free School Meals, please ask for an application form from the School Office. Any enquiry will be treated in the strictest confidence. Should you be eligible for this service but not wish to take advantage of it, we still need to know. Again, we do assure you that this information is strictly confidential.
Drinks and snacks
Children in Nursey, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are provided with a free piece of fruit each day at morning break. In addition, at playtime children in Years 1-6 can purchase a healthy snack from our tuck shop. This is charged at £1.00 per week.
Drinks in school
We encourage children to drink water throughout the day and they may bring in a non-breakable bottle which can be refilled at school when necessary and taken home daily to be cleaed and refilled.
