Daily routine: Doors open at 8.45. Home time is 3.00.

Punctuality: After 9:00, your child will be marked as late. Please report to the school office.

Attendance: It is essential that your child attends school every day. It helps them with settling into their class as well as forming friendships. If your child is unwell and cannot attend school, please ring and inform school as soon as possible.

Drinks and snacks: Children in Reception will be provided with fruit, milk and water every day

Names in belongings: Please ensure all belongings are labelled with your child’s name and class. Belongings are easily lost and this helps with returning items to their rightful owner.

Uniform: All children should wear a navy cardigan or jumper (with or without school logo), a light blue shirt, grey trousers/skirt/dress, and black shoes

P.E. Kit: In Reception, we have P.E. on a Friday.  Children will need a full kit which is a plain white t-shirt, black shorts, black pumps.

Book bag: Please ensure your child book bag is in every day.

Cold weather: Please ensure children are appropriately dressed in winter months as they access to continuous provision through out the day . This means they may need tights, hats, scarves and gloves.

Forest School: Children take part in forest school linked to the curriculum throughout the year. Forest school will take place on a Thursday so if parents/guardians can ensure children have wellies sent in to school and come up with tracksuit bottoms or leggings on.

Homework: Reading bags should be returned to school every day. Please read with your child for at least ten minutes every night, sign their reading record (Page to and from) and comment on how they read. Asking your child questions about the story will help to improve their understanding.

Working together: Working together with the school will make a huge positive impact on the children this year.  if you need to speak to a member of staff please just let us know at the beginning or end of the school day and we can arrange an appointment.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are going to have a fantastic year!
