This is a suggested time table to help you while your child is learning from home:

Home Learning

Suggested activities Before 9am

  • Wake up
  • Eat breakfast- can you get it yourself or help to prepare it?
  • Get dressed, have a wash and brush your teeth.
  • Put your night clothes away and make your bed.
Get Active Time

9.00- 10.00am

Learning Time - English


  • Learning packs sent from school
  • Practice your handwriting
  • Use the Literacy shed for some inspiration for your writing- lots of great video clips and ideas of what you could write about.

Break Time

11.00-11.15 am – Break

Have a mid morning snack- try and be healthy- have fruit or veg.


11.15- 11.45 – Reading

  • Younger children https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/
  • Share a book with someone if you can- if not on your own.
  • Keep a record of what you’ve read or try and write a different ending or a sequel.

11.45- 12.45 – Lunch

Help your adult prepare the lunch- eat together if you can

Get some fresh air so you are ready for afternoon learning.

  • Learning packs sent from school
  • Practice your times tables and revise units in maths so far. www.topmarks.co.uk has games on addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, place value, fractions and decimals
  • Times Table Rock Stars. Challenge friends and earn coins


Ask your adult what you can do to help out- tidy up, help change your sheets, help with the evening meal etc
