Mother Teresa

Nelson Mandela
From the start of Year R all pupils are assigned to one of our four school houses: Mother Theresa, Nelson Mandela, Winston Churchill and Helen Keller. Competitive events – academic and sporting – are held throughout the school year. Points are assigned and the house with the most points at the end of each term is presented with the House Cup in the final assembly of the term. Pupils are made very aware of how important it is to be either a humble winner, or a gracious loser. Competition is healthy and succeeds in bringing the very best out of children.
All staff members are assigned to a house and are responsible for leading the half termly meetings. Each house has 2 elected pupil captains; one boy and one girl from Year 6. Siblings are always in the same house.
Children have a chance to represent their house in a wide variety of sporting and educational competitions throughout the school year. House colours are: Mother Theresa – yellow, Nelson Mandela- blue, Winston Churchill- red and Helen Keller – green.
